This Is What We Expected

The day after we found out about Ryan's upcoming layoff I texted my brother to tell him the news. His response, "so did I"! Yep you heard it. They both found out the same day that they were being laid off. My brother has a Bachelor's Degree in something computers so he shouldn't have too hard a time finding work. We all knew this year would be rough and really God has been good even through all of these trials. Ryan and I are somewhat relieved that he is getting laid off because we know that all those who aren't laid off face a bumpy road ahead with a company not doing so well. It is a little disappointed that they are going to be bringing them back to 40 hrs., but we just have to look ahead for what the Lord has in store. As of right now Ryan has not been called for one interview and he was shocked. I explained that it's not him it's that fact that there are so many people looking for work. We'll keep plugging away and hope for some improvement.

Will be praying for your family. Let us know if there is anything we can do to help.

Hey there Odois Family! How are you all doing? It's been so long. Thank you so much for your prayers. They are what we need most right now. The Lord has provided for our needs and the timing has been rather good for tax season and Ryan's profit sharing, which we are glad he is still going to be receiving it. I hope all is well in your home. Please keep in touch.

Love,

The Reeds

Oh Megan! (((hugs)))

I'll be praying for you and your family, especially for Ryan- it's usually extra difficult for a man.

My b-i-l survived layoff's at his work.. but when they lay off 700 here and 1000 there, it is such a gloom-and-doom environment to go to every day. It was a tremendous blessing when he found another job out of state and the whole family moved. More money, better work environment, and everyone is so much happier!

Hang in there. God always provides, just turn TO Him with your burdens and doubts!

And wow, the Daily Blessing on your sidebar for today.. that's what was at the end of Christian's memorial service slideshow. We just ordered his grave marker yesterday and had the notation from I Thessalonians inscribed on it. :-) You know that's God hugging me, right? He's reminding me that He is in all the details- big details like family loss and small details like blog reading.

He is in all of YOUR details too, my friend.

Love,
Marsha

Oh thank you Marsha! It is so good to receive your encouragement. I need that so much as I rarely get to hang out with fellow women of God and this Blog is really my only outlet. Thank you for your kind words and mostly your prayers. I hope that time is near that we will meet the Lord in the air and you will be reunited with your beloved son, Christian. From a mom to a mom I pray the Lord be with you and your home.
